Health
Care facilities have implemented the Cashless Payment
System for their employees, residents, and volunteers,
thereby supplementing the cash systems used by the
general public. The cashless system provides convenience
for the users, increased revenue for the facility,
and better management of subsidized programs.
CONVENIENCE
By using a card rather than cash, employees do not
need to carry cash or coins. Not having to go to
their locker or desk for a purse or wallet allows
more time for meals. Transaction time at the register
is cut in half. The card may also be used in vending
machines throughout the facility. We also offer
payroll deduction systems or account management
systems that allow cardholders to prepay for value
on their card or have their value deducted directly
from their paycheck.
INCREASED
REVENUE
With the cost of providing healthcare soaring, increasing
revenue is critical for healthcare facilities. Cardholders
spend more when they use a card than when they use
cash. The increased convenience will generate increased
usage. Increased sales of 10% to 30% are reported
from facilities using the Debitek MoneyClip System.
CONTROLLING
COST
Many Healthcare facilities subsidize meals for Residents,
Interns, Doctors, or even volunteers. By using pre-valued
cards, the amount of this subsidy can be capped
and tracked for each cardholder. In addition, the
system is easier to manage than "punch card"
systems that lend themselves to fraud. The result
is capping a balance sheet liability and reducing
management costs.
ONE CARD,
MANY USES
The Smart Vend Card may be combined with the employee
ID card and/or with a card used for access. By combining
the Smart Vend capabilities with access and ID,
all of the benefits of the system are magnified.
