to Smart Card Cafeteria
The Smart
Vend Cash to Smart Card Cafeteria System is
a combination of hardware and software that address
the needs of small value transaction automation
in a closed environment. The system is made up of
several components including:
Customers are issued an initial
Smart Card either from a manager or the Smart Cards
can be purchased from the Cash to Card Center.
Value can be added at any
time to the Smart Card by inserting the card into
the Cash to Card Center and next inserting US currency
into the bill acceptor.
Additional cards can be purchased
at any time for a nominal fee from the Cash to Card
Center. To purchase an additional card, the customer
would need to select the Buy Card Button and insert
a bill of the correct denomination and a card will
be dispensed.
To purchase goods, the cashier
will present a total purchase amount to the customer
and next the customer will insert their Smart Card
into the cash register reader, which will display
the customers card balance. The cashier will then
deduct the purchase amount from the card and the
card will be returned.
The Cash to Card Revalue
Station will allow the customers to check the balance
on their card at any time, all they need to do is
simply insert their card and the reader will display
the value.
